It just goes to show how ahead of its time the Model S was when you realise it still has no direct rivals with an all-electric powertrain, despite it first arriving on the market back in 2014. There have been lots of updates since then, most notably a facelift and the addition of supercar-beating performance versions like the P100D, with four-wheel drive and a 2.5-second 0-62mph time in ‘Ludicrous Mode’. There’s even a seven-seat version to accommodate family buyers, and can travel up to 380 miles between charges on Tesla’s Supercharger network.
